well i aint got a job at the moment and im gonna use my £5 bonus from april, so my challenge and it is a big one is to turn it into £100+. Its a tall order Rich but im with you m8 so scratch my back and ill scatch yours we can do it no probs if i make it ill buy ya a pint!
Ill have a go with £100, no specific targets, the only aim is to have a higher ROI than any other player on this thread who's starting with £100 or less!
Im up for this. My bankroll is currently £171.54 (I'll post my actual starting bankroll on 1st May) and I am playing £5.50 DYMs. I'm hoping to move upto £11 ones asap but wont be able to play as much as I'd like during May (maybe a couple of hours a day though). I will set a (rather ambitious given my play) target of £300. Cheers for this Rich, its a good idea as the extra motivation never hurts.
Great idea btw Rich - I have tried posting a bankroll challenge on here before, but then got self-conscious that nobody probably gave a **** - now I have an excuse! Posted by darich
Yes, at least this way Rich, EVERYONE will see you fail.
gonna put 100 pound on the 1st of may and try not to have to reload by the 3rd of may!! this will up my usual profit by 100 percent!! And will be staying clear of RR's as tikay tells me i'm rubbish! Posted by sick_swans
Ah, another £100'er. Good lad sick_swans. We will both fight together in the trenches on the same starting amount then.
Bagsy you go over the top first, when the whistles blow though. I'll be right behind you..
In Response to Re: ROLL UP, ROLL UP FOR ORFORD'S MAY BANKROLL CHALLENGE! : Don't go sitting at a 50p/£1 table on May 1st - otherwise you might need to go to Battersea Dogs' Home ;-) Posted by darich
I like the sound of this I'll start with £100 and just wish for the best lol. Once im out though, im out! Posted by PKRPar
Nice one PKRPar and welcome to Sky Poker. You've come to a good community where you'll enjoy the game and the banter.
Some advice- I'd set yourself a target. It really helps keep you disciplined and gives you a sense of achievement if you take it down. How about the double-up? £200 by May 31st?
In Response to Re: ROLL UP, ROLL UP FOR ORFORD'S MAY BANKROLL CHALLENGE! : I'm assuming of course, that these are euphemisms..? You're going to work the streets if you drop below a certain blind level? Now that's pressure... Posted by RICHORFORD
Work the streets ONLY if I fall below a certain level? Err, who was it that told me that was standard bankroll management?

I'm liking this one Dazler. The starting amount is irrelevant. You're going for a massive ROI and let's not forget that poker superstar Chris Ferguson has performed bigger miracles with even less to start with.
You are going to be seriously grinding on the micro-limits for a good stretch though! Best of luck mate. Weirdly could be the most challenging target of the lot.

Like it Dohhhhh. Our first 2010 Total Player candidate to sign up too.

Good luck John. I think £300 is do-able from £170, if indeed that's how much you have on May 1st.
From my own experience, DYMs are a really safe and painfree way of building your bankroll if you know how to play them. I'd move to the £11 level once you hit £200. If your form continues you should reach £300 within the month as you'll winning a tenner a time for coming third!
Hi Rich. Great idea! I'll accept your challenge and also give you the micro stakes player you mentioned. At the moment, there's a whopping £6.50 in my bankroll. I'll update the amount on May 1st, but I aim to reach £50.00 by May 31st, that's over 700% ROI. (To be honest, I'll be lucky if I make £6.51, but let's be positive!)
I don't play cash, so it'll be done the hard way - playing 30p, 60p, £1.00 DYMs, freerolls and low stakes tournaments. It sounds even harder now I've said that, but let's give it a go!!
In Response to Re: ROLL UP, ROLL UP FOR ORFORD'S MAY BANKROLL CHALLENGE! : 80%? Wow-heck of a figure that Micky. You're definitely the man if you hit that stat over May- keep us updated and good luck... Posted by RICHORFORD
ino 80% is high, im gunna play £5 hu stt @ least 1 a day in may and ill post results on here

well iz got the skills rich just need the luck so will be rubbing my buddah's belly quite a bit for this challenge, will have to take a few risks but who dares wins roders who dares wins
I'll do the same as DOHHHHHHH and begin with £100 - was gonna start off with more but this will be more of a challenge - my aim will be the same as DOHHHHHHH in the ROI challenge
From a low of £4.50 its taken me over a year to get £142 recreational play of micros and freerolls. This is all i have to play with cant reload.Sounds a little out of my league ill give it a miss.

When is Lisa-Marie back, I need to have a word?
Joking as always.
