    My pre flop hand selection is good, I'm in position, you 4bet so I know u got AA or maybe KK.

    I have 34% pre flop against ur actual hand, and it's a flip otf.

    Well, that was fun!

    A 'buy in' on this diary is gonna be £20 now, it appears that's where I'll be playing most. 10r buy in games are abit boring ;)

    I 2 tabled for 6 hours!!!!!

    I lost thirteen pots above £15.

    In a normal session 6 tabling NLHE for 4 hours, I'll rarely lose more than 3 or 4. 

    I think my pre flop hand selection is pretty good, looking back through the hands I lose money in they're all good starting hands. (the 1 greg posted above is probably the worst)

    I think it's clear where I'm going wrong. I'm paying people off on the river too much. It's not really a surprise, it used to be a huge leak of mine when I was learning holdem, I was too curious and I thought everyone was bluffing.

    I still struggle with being abit of a station in holdem nowardays. But I can normally think through the hand and work out there's a reasonable chance that the villain is bluffing. I'm a good calling station @ my level. lol.

    In PLO I'm just guessing/calling and hoping!

    At one point I had 2x 500xbb stacks. I think this is going to be a problem, I'm far too IN experienced to play that deep against people that know what they're doing. It's also gonna mean sick swings too.

    Next time If I get up above 300xbb I'm just gonna leave and re-sit with 100xbb when I can. 

    Don't really wanna play huge pots with no edge. 

    Anyway, a losing start!!! :'(

    Owned by Greekway in a few big pots where he value towned me. 

    I also got good aces in pre on a few occasions, which I know is a super swingy, but winning play. They failed on 3/4 occasions. Had 1 or 2 gone my way, I'd have been even or up.

    Last hand I bluffed off £45 with in a 4bet pot v Greeky, KKxx, I shipped the scare card on the turn....

    He had KK, obvs. lol

    Again, had I not done that, I'd have won money.

    I'm confident I can beat the games, eventually!

    You made some very good points in your post and I hope I wont forget anything I have in my mind. It's good though that you have understood so many things about your style of playing and your leaks. That is always a good thing whatever game you are playing.

    1. Dont try and compare PLO and NLH. There are two completely different games. I am reffering to the note that you lost 13 pots above 15quid whereas in NLH you would lose 4. I think that is fine. Money in PLO go in so many times and you get decent odds with most of your hands. In NLH, money go in far fewer times. So the above doesn't suprise me. Also there are times in PLO that you can't hit anything. And when I say that I mean it. I remember sometime ago I literally couldn't hit anything. Nothing. My opponents kept hitting and I didn't. But also I remember a time when I called for a card and did come. Called also my opponent to go all-in when I had the nuts. And it did happen. Exactly as the KKxx hand yesterday. Happy days.

    2. You have to read the board and also give credit to opponents when they bet. You call way too much on the river and that's why you lose big pots imo. You can call a small bet on the flop or turn but river bets are so big and mainly for value so you are bleeding chips in some spots. I understand your curiosity and the feeling that everyone wants to keep bluffing me but try and change that.

    3. Yesterday you played far too loose. I don't know if it was because of me or Hoggers but you kept 3betting or even 4betting with marginal hands and raising my bets. I did fold couple of times as its part of my strategy (I wont go further on that). When you start trying a new game I understand that you want to play hands, involved in pots etc etc and everything. But I would suggest you playing tight. Take Greghogg's example. He played a bit tight and he only played aggressive his big hands. That's what you should do. You don't have the experience to play marginal hands or bluffing with them. (I hope you understand my point and that is made under positive manners and not to cause any offence).

    Keep it up mate. Its a good start that even losing so many pots you are up for the day. I will keep an eye on your thread. Starts to get interesting.

     1.  I fold pre! Why are you raising? 2 pr will be losing here. N.B.  You get 4 x hole cards making 6 x poss starting hands in PLO.  You've got 2 here at best.

    2.  Fine IMO - loads of outs.

    3. I'm folding the river here.

    4. Take a free card.

    Just my quick thoughts. I not an expert but it kinda looks like you are playing way too many hands?

    I'm writing these before reading Greeky's reply, good chance to compare notes afterwards.

    1) This is an awkward spot. You get great odds to call the first all in, but even with your shove the big stack gets grwat odds to come along. As the big stack only flatted your c-bet they could be weak-ish, but with top 2 without any meaningful draws you're rarely in good shape against 2 opponents. Mathematically probably a close spot, but not sure

    2) Almost perfect rainbow flop and you're absolutely getting the odds to call off.

    3) C-bet imo. You have the 2nd nuts and the way the betting went you're hand is under-repped and Greeky can value bet worse here (sets, 34) or just bluff because you showed weakness.

    4) I think betting is fine. If you check and miss you have to give up, and by betting you can get him off flush draws, top pairs, weak 2 pairs. etc.

    Sorry I was very lucky against you last night.  I will comment on your hands, but Im not very good myself so my opinion might not be valid.

    Hand 1: As played its hard to get away from top 2 in a 3bet pot with your image, but your probably up against as set or big draw.  Only problem you havnt got many extensions just some backdoors.  I would call tho and I like the 3bet pre flop.

    Hand 2: Good hand to 3bet with but not against tight players.  I would call the 4 bet (as has enough equity against his range) and no getting away from that flop.  The problem when you call the 4 bet is most of the time you will miss and the aggressor will take the pot away from you.

    Hand 3: I would fold river and be ready to fight another day! Very few players at this level pot river without nuts.

    Hand 4: I like your play in this hand.  I would barrell the turn as played and you have no choice but to prey for a suckout on river.  Most of the time this will be winning play as most players will give up on turn.  Sometime tho you will get your hand caught in the cookie jar.

    My observations of your play is you call light in 3 and 4 bet pots with dominated hands which will get you in trouble against players with wide 3 and 4 betting ranges.  When you are the aggressor your play is good. 

    Hope this helps.  I could do with help on my game as I have many leaks.

    Some points regarding your posted hand history:

    1. Opponents shows strength with his move. The point that you dont have redraws its worrying. You have top 2 but you may be behind to a set or racing against a straight draw or a flush draw. Because you have no spades in your hand flush draw is more possible. Tough spot cause its also a 3bet pot.

    2. Snap call and hope to hit. Nothing else. Easy.

    3. I cant comment on my hand. But because I am betting almost full pot, I give me credit. (sounds a bit weird)

    4. I put my opponent on a set here or a flush draw. It's a marginal spot. I would happily call if he made his move on the flop but for 10 more I think I would call here. But I believe you are behind and you need to hit.

    Fun tables!

    Played a few HU hypers on here again around 7pm. Tried to get a couple of buy ins up so I could 'freeroll PLO'.

    That failed, nearly lose loads, managed to break even at them in the end though. So frustrating, I dunno how I played them for so long. Have to grind down passive nits, takes like 10 mins to beat 1, then the next game you lose a flip first hand.

    Made abit at plo though. Spewed abit at the end, as you can see from the hands above, but made 7.5 buy ins overall.

    Took the advice on board, focussed alot more on position, and whilst remaining very aggressive, I did play abit tighter. Still 3/4b alot but tried to pick better spots and actually think about what I was doing.

    Thinking does help.

    Don't think I'd ever be able to play more than 3 tables, but don't think any more than 3 tables would ever run anyway :( 

    Nice to book a win! Prob have the weekend off now and try again on Monday. Although it is extremely addictive, might be tempted to play again tomorrow.

    Sounds like a crazy aggressive table.  I bet jh was the biggest bully.  He is the toughest player I've played at that level. Still wondering the results of your previous hands doohhhhh.  Well done on your winning session. You play PLO the right way, will get better with more experience and improved hand reading of PLO.

    Wow didnt realise you had such a good session JJ! You were alot tighter last night, it seems it paid off, WP!

    I was up about 5 buyins but then donked off a couple late on when i lost all focus and concentration and just felt like a gamboool. I had two losing pots over £15, both at 2.am!! what that tell u! #iamstooopid

    JH is very tough, i agree.

    I am learning PLO too, and I have just started to 4bet light (prob not a good idea)... I will post a hand that went completley wrong below, if only to stop myself taking weird lines...

    The PLO tables at 20 quid on here are very fun indeed. But obv could get expensive!

    What a great night yesterday was.

    Great fun, great bluffs and so many regs at the Omaha tables. Loved it.

    I was a silent stalker on the tables last night and watching you lot going at it was very entertaining.

    I would have loved to join in but just aint rolled for it :(
