ive already backed big phil and hes made a bit of a hamies on a few consecutive holes there but some of his other play has been top notch and it is oul lefty after all hes been known to be up and down like yoyo i think the 100/1 on offer now while hes 3 over and on 10th is way too big. its a marathon not a sprint. yes hes got it to do now but hence the 100's on offer and he has previous i expect him to be in clubhouse this evening with plus 1 or par

Could just suit him having to attack the course tommorow

MY best pick of 7 was only 1 under with molinari but it was looking so good with westwood -2 after 2 , Mickleson 1 under playing gr8 iron play . Rose - never got it togethor. Padraig doing well earlt on - least he finishe birdie

Shame i didnt get on Lawrie a munte earlier but got him at 48 ,s for about a fiver at 2 under

It will all change tommorow as ever and could be interesting if one side of the draw get the best weather

    Enjoy and GL

believe this or not i dreamt wednesday night snedeker won it. really bizarre. was something as simple as being told it in the dream. though clearly nothing too exciting happening in it if im freaming about golfers! anyway i never bothered, he was still available 125/1 yday in places  when 2 under or so but never backed him.

hes been phenomenal thus far BUT ........... if and when the wind gets up he will struggle. if it gets really windy he could shoot as high as 76 or 7 imo. how fantastic not to yet bogey nor be in a bunker (200 plus of them) over 36 holes. have a feeling in unsuitble conditions tomorrow when he finally ends up in bunkers (inevitable) the wheels could properly come off.

the big phil praise was in vain, just wasnt to be his weekend. colsaerts and zach are proof that it isnt won in a day and anyone thorugh the cut could win. technically probably not true but its not just tiiger and top 2 in this. still alot of golf left surprises can happen. im hoping for a hurricane. in that event paul lawrie would be worth looking up. and have i mentioned im a fan of Padraig?!!! only a million times. im going in with blind faith and backing him again @ 150/1. he has good gameplan for the majors and not as if he has any other option at the moment but to go for it. think he can go low tomorrow 65 or 64. hed a great saturday at both augusta and last month in US open. hell need to this time around as well. and i just think he might.

still think 6 or 7 under will win it

tomorrows tee times just posted - Padraigs out early with Rory and this could be ideal. Another eye catching pairing is Carbrera-Bello and Scottish open champ Singh. think they could play off each other quite well given a recent tendancy for unflattering weather and links golf . both could go ok on moving day.

get in the clubhouse for half 2-ish with a few under par posted for the tourney and then let the heavens open and the winds howl (queue evil laugh) muuawwhwhwhwhwhahahahahahwhwhahwhahwhahwhahwwaw

I had a free £5 bet given to me by SKY,So I have followed your Dream and put it on Brandt Snedekar @5/1

I was talking to my brother on Tuesday and Wednesday about who we might be backing in the Open. He mentioned a few names and I said, I really fancy Adam Scott to do well....as it happens I was working different hours than normal this week, FORGOT to put my bet on and felt quite ill when I checked to see how everyone was getting on and saw Scott leading with a 64! I would only have had £1 e/w on at the most, but it still hurts and it's all self-inflicted. :((((

Don't forget to have a look at the PGA tour comp this week. With obviously all the big names missing the book makers don't really know what to do! I've gone for Scott Stallings @ 100/1 and Ryuji Imada @ 150/1 (Obv e/w value bets)
    Posted by FlashFlush
Well at least my PGA tour tips are going well (Touch wood). Lots of rain delays over in the US this week, its been stopped 3 times. They are currently half way (some finished) through their 3rd round. Scott Stallings is 4 shots clear on -18 with 8 holes still to play, and Ryuji Imada is T6 with 2 holes to play on -12.

Looks pretty safe I will get some kind of payout, lets hope its a win AND a place!

Great performance by Ernie, I'm glad he pipped Scott to win it.

And I had a nice brucie bonus of Colsaerts finishing 7th for a place :)

Stuck a little £1.50 on him today @25/1 so with my 2 and 3 ball betting made a little profit on the tournie(although oosthuizens double at the last cost me £80)

    GET IN ERNIE!!!!

posted night after us open that he and Padraig went straight into the book for the Open we have just witnessed and although i missed the 50's that i put up at the time got 40/1 absolutely thrilled nice lift and utter excitement watching her in work and kept the faith that something special may happen with only 4 holes left. remarkable stuff!! talk about scatter bets between outrights and 1st round leader bets i was doing with dead money in account my spend surpassed 250 quid backing the top 10 that i put up on thread and added one or 2 others couldnt help myself. certainly makes for good weekends entertainment and always nice having at least one to sweat out a few quid and even better getting the winner  : )    padraig was 30 quid e/w and disappointed not only in a pocket talk way but as a fan. he's still another major in him though.

    WELL DONE ERNIE!!!!

    Nice 1 Bell Poker!

As for my bets, Brandt Snedeker and Gmac both made me sweat, I'm still not quite sure how Snedeker managed to finish 3rd, but 3rd he finished and at 200/1 that's a 50/1 winner :)

Add that to the place money for GMAC and a return on Colsaerts for first round leader, I ended up with a nice profit.

Good luck with Scott Stallings Flash, looking good at the moment, but as Adam Scott learnt this afternoon, it's not over until the fat lady says it is"!

In Response to Re: Get in the Hole! 2012 Season. (Open Championship) Years Profit: -£201.00 : Well at least my PGA tour tips are going well (Touch wood).
