yeah nice return to form yesterday for him, though im still convinced after being plus 3 thru first 5 and pulling it back to par that DUFNER is the main man to challenge Tiger and having backed antepost at 25's im going back in @ 40/1 think hell go low at least 2 of the last 3 days, starting this evening. has been known to start slow and lets face it better starting that way and getting stronger than the other way around, which Id bet good money on what will happen to Rose in particular. Really rode his luck at times yesterday, and you can never keep that up. Expect Stricker to tail off as he tends to do, Rory probably stay solid enough and finish the day -2 or -3.

Ouch, just backed him @16's as 1st picks not doing well. Hope your wrong this time Mr Bell.
Well a decent 2nd day for my guys. Senden has got himself back to level with a lot of work to do over the weekend if he is to make top 4.
Bubba on the other hand is only 2 shots back but yesterday was a very flukey performance. He was scrambling a lot and getting lucky bounces, including putting in for a birdie from off the green. I am not overly confident Bubba will still be there after today, hopefully he has been working on some stuff and will be a bit more accurate today!

Yes Flash can't grumble (wouldn't anyway), at the tip for Bubba, after some indifferent play he is certainly well placed.
After bigging up Hunter Mahan and his 'A' game he got a big fat F on day 2.
On the other hand I'm pleased one of my 2 original picks Bo Van Pelt is along side Bubba on the leaderboard and playing together today could suit them both as they can both hit it miles.
I'll be happy with a top 4 finish from either of them.
dufner at 100/1 im stubborn as a mule going back in again. gonna shoot a 63 today. yes i am clearly deluded before you ask!!!! ive jim furyk whos leading and he will NOT win i just have a bad feeling about the bet. one of those good for a sweat come halfway and he'll tail off out of sight . hopefully im wrong
30 runners ew 1/4 1st 4 means good value if we can get Mclroy and Woods beat as they are inflating everybody else's price. I've plumped for Donald 20's (though hate having my fancy tipped in the Post). Watson 33's and Simpson 45's. Posted by joesman1
Bit unlucky to get the 3rd and joint 5th players. Only a small profit as backed all 3 ew.
Anyone got any tips for the Ryder Cup or are you waiting for the pairings?
Cant see any value in Europe but might back them to win by x amount of points as i,ll be supporting them anyway as i,ve just got Sky Sports 1 back -Happy days
Top European - I think Rory is obv value although a dark horse for me is Ian Poulter who loves this Cup more than anyone and his experience will also help
A tie might not be a bad shout. In the last 13 events it's 8-4 to Europe and 1 tie. Europe are not looking the best team this year with Westwood, Kaymer, Colsaerts, G-Mac not in the best of form. The same argument could be made for the US team, but with it on their home patch I think this could be very close, and 10/1 is pretty decent value. I doubt I'll actually put any bets on due to how badly I was at predicting the matchplay results earlier in the year
Backing Donald to be top European. With his foursome (unbeaten) and four-ball record, added to the fact it's his home track and hit form last week 6/1 is a very fair price. Also backing Snedeker to be top US rookie. Again with his lethal putting/recent form, guaranteed to be in the 1st mornings foursomes and afternoon four-balls. Finally, two correct score bets, 14 - 14 and 14.5 to 13.5 to Europe. COME ON BOYS!!!!
what price sned top rook? donald a good shout at home in chicago also like mp33 suggesting poults theyd be my 2 main men oher than gmac and rory Posted by BELL_POKER
Believe it or not the 100/30 OUTSIDER!!!! Why o why Dufner Bradley and Simpson are ahead of him god only knows.
wow 10/3 for Brandt i DO find that hard to beleive!!! maybe both he and what you said about westwood could be worth a double (if not classified as 'special' single bets.)
im a huge keegan fan but no way i could be having any of the 3 others against him. when the times right and IF webb were to gather a couple of shots lead on the sunday in his single match, against whoever, then ill be tempted to have a tidy play on his opponent. the better he starts the worse he gets, have noticed this about him on more than one occasion, came from right off the pace in US open and im still of the opinion Furyk lost it rather than he won it, was in clubhouse and all. think the pressure gets to this one, and dufner has previous as well. think keegan copes well with pressure and id expect him to fair best out of the other 3.

Shouldn't be classed as a 'related' bet... But i bet it is
Kinda changed my mind on Poulter as the course is set up for long hitters and the experts keep saying it could turn into a putting competition and going of some of the advice on this thread i,ve gone for these bets :
After seeing the draw for the morning foursomes it's advantage Europe for me.Think we will definately win at least 2 of the games if not 3,or the lot even.Westwood and Molinari is my biggest worry.
ah cheers for posting, not sure what the reasoning is behind the westwood/francesco pairing but good luck til them! am i not right in thinking neither are the greatest putters?
In Response to All things Ryder Cup - (re named at Dohhhh's request): Anyone fancy trying to predict tomorrow mornings pairings? I'll go for Westwood/Molinari then Donald/Garcia then Mclroy/McDowell and Poulter/Rose as rear gunners. Not sure how anyone can say the US have a stronger team looking at those pairings. As for the US, I'll guess they'll go Mickleson/Bradley then Watson/Simpson Woods/Stricker finally Snedeker/Johnson Posted by joesman1
Any prizes for correctly guessing Europe's pairings?? Shame I got 1st & 3rd wrong way round. The US was harder to predict but got the two easy ones in.
I think the 1st and 2nd matches are shoe ins. . And also Westwood and Molinari should take care of their match. So 3 - 1 or even 3.5 - 1.5 to Europe??
not a good start for 'our' (!) snedker bet joesman, as rory and gmac will own him and furyk!!! Posted by BELL_POKER
Yeah true Mr Bell. Perfect scenario (cos I'm backing the Irish boys) is for Sneds to lose but play well, be Furyk's fault, and so be picked for afternoon four-balls, and other rookies lose too.

After day one, I had decided to have a punt on Hunter Mahan if I could get 25/1 or more.
Very surprised he is available at 40/1 ew first 4 and I'm on!
Just 2 shots off the lead and his tee to green accuracy must have been amongst the best yesterday.
If he really is back with his A game, I think he's great ew value at this stage.
After bigging up Hunter Mahan and his 'A' game he got a big fat F on day 2.

Top American - Can,t see past Tiger here - He,s gonna get all the crowds as usual and will be well pumped
1) There maybe 12 players but only 4 or 5 would be considered for this honour.
2) He was in the 1st group on the 1st morning at Celtic Manor
3) He is likely to take over as the 'talisman' from Monty
4) If he is in the 1st group, 2 of the 3 par 3's are on odd numbered tees, playing to his superior iron play
