I was well stacked and called. flop came 88ten. villain raised to 1.50, well with two pair  I called knowing  I could be behind, but also aware he could be calling with over cards only. the turn came blank. he checked so i checked. river came 3 giving me full house. after this i recieved some abuse calling me a fish!! he maintains i should not have called the flop with 2 pair. I think he was wrong to check the turn. any decent bet i would have folded. any opinions?? Sorry slight error. flop came dowm 858. not 88ten. but the principle remains

    Did he call you river bet? If so, what did he have? I see no problem with the call. Like you said any decent bet and you were gone. You checked behind on the turn and had a very nice river. LOL.

    This was the most amazing first hand i have ever played! I sat watching the players for about half an hour before and they where ultra aggressive so i knew what i would get str8 away!
    Anyway we both have stacks of 100 quid well his is a tad more. He raises to £5 and i call with pocket 4's. Flop comes down and i hit my trips he then bets £10 so  i reraise to £20 which he then suprisingly shoves all in!!!! Then he turns over wait for it........... J 10 lol £100 on jack 10! I doubled up first hand of the day yipeee.

    do u fold?

    i have AA in cutoff there are several limpers so i rasie but bvecasue of level i get 5 callers making it a family pot only raised 4bb becasue i want action but didnt expect to get that much action flop 5 7 K 2 spades theres a bet and a call i make a huge rasie 2/3 pot  the button shoves and then two more players go all in action is now on me.... what is the corretc play here do i fold. i am beaten by a set or two pair and at best im against a straight , flush draw or AK with 3 palyers i assume at least one has me beat and the rest r on draws

    i call becasue i am getting about 5/1 on my money  but should i fold there??

    This is A REAL COOLER of a hand... it put me out of the tournie... it also shows what rubbish some people will call a 5xBB raise with..i.e anything suited...then get not just lucky..but ultra lucky.. and the chance of the river card being what it was was less than 0.5%..would really like the guys to analyse this one.. the villians motive for calling with such a poor starting hand.. I have already made a note (from previous games) that he/she likes to shove and force people all in,but didn't have her down as...shall we say... 'a calling station'..the hand i.d is

     This hand was entertaining. My generally feeling pre flop was these guys always tried to limp into pots so I'll raise.
    On the flop I was concerned about the flush draw, half expecting a large reraise to my 250chip bet. But, he only calls so I think he's actually a bit weak. The turn deals another flush card- I carry on betting- a check or weak bet would be a worse play cause I wouldn't know were I was at in the pot. Villian goes over the top all in. My gut feeling was that if the other player had the flush he would bleed me dry not shove to scare me off. I made the call and got my reward on the river.

    Sir / Madam, 

    After a torrid time at the felt online the past couple of months I have seriously contemplated selling all my poker related items; books, mags, downloads etc. We all go through it I guess but after losing all my bankroll with one bad beat after another I was well and truly in tilt-ville. One last Tenna I thought to myself and did indeed pump some more money in to wake up in heaven with the hand I have posted here. Needless to say the bankroll is back on the up and I didn't think it would hurt to give my confidence (ego) with a little boost following some expert analysis from the sky poker guru's.

    I'm fairly new to the site and this is my 3rd time playing here but not for some time. I wasn't as used to the interface as I thought I was! In the hand requested, I had flopped trips which improved to a full house on the turn. The river gave the potential of a bigger full house and my opponent bet suspiciously low. I was deciding between raising and calling and decided on a small raise but I typed it incorrectly. I went to retype it, but decided that I was too suspicious of the small bet and as I reached for the call button, I timed out and folded.

    I actually felt sick after that. Can you please tell me if I saved £0.70 with my accidental fold or actually missed out on a £8.06 pot by not calling? I would never fold there, even with a good read on my oppo since i'm only behind to QQ and Q10.
