    You did GREAT Chalky!

For those not aware, Chalky won tonight's £500 Guaranteed Omaha Tourney, winning, I think, £150, (for £5!), beating some old geezer heads up.

I have gotta get on the road now, I'm driving home tonight, 3 hours + in this weather, so I'll let you know a few Venues where you can play Poker when I am back Online. In short, avoid Liverpool, but the G-Bolton & G-Manchester are both OK Venues.

One thing abour your game tonight. Several times when I checked to you on the end, you Bet small, for example, 2k into a 12k Pot. The bluff is good, excellent in fact, but you must bet more, 8k or 9k minimum when the Pot is 12k, as 2k enabled me to Call with "marginals". (Well you did ask!).

Very well played, & I'm delighted for you.

I have a really bad feeling that this guy was bluffing when we played this hand:

    #214838748

if he was would be good to see a bluff v bluff analysis

Hi Duke - as Tikay is probably still snoring at this time I'll reply as best I can. Tikay can't see any of the hands that are played as he plays on the site and those horrendous outdraws he inflicts would be very questionable (as if they weren't already!!!) if he could see our cards either at the time or at a later date. He only gets to see them when we do - either when they are shown at the table or when shown on tv.

If you post the hand on the hand analysis section you should get some good feedback, as other players can discuss  the play through the streets, the betting and what they would have done.

It might be too late to see the actual hand if you ask it to be reviewed on the show, but also post it on that thread and you may see it reviewed on tv.

It's great when you play on one of the shows that are being broadcast live on the tv because you can ask at the time for the hand to be reviewed and often it is shown a few minutes later.

Hope to see you at the tables soon so I can bluff you.... :-)

The "Sky Rich Invitation" was a freeroll put on because the "Forum Poster's Freeroll" the previous week was interrupted due to several players experiencing technical problems. Everyone who was included in the previous weeks game was entered unless they asked to be removed. This was the last of the "Forum Poster's Freeroll" tournaments.

In Response to Re: Ask Tikay? : Hi OHL - as Tikay is snowed under - and here in Northampton it has been snowing so I'm not going anywhere - I will answer for him so far as I can - if he wants to chip in I'm sure he will when he can. Best place for technical issues is as you've reported it and also let the Sky peeps know on the 'bugs' thread as they are at the sharp end with all us lot. Great that you have highlighted it here too - Tikay has a big stick and once a week he takes the head of IT and if appropriate hits him with it! In all seriousness - Tikay will also moan collectively for the forum when appropriate but it's difficult for him to deal with individual cases so keep badgering Sky Rich for an answer. If you can't get an answer come back and Tikay whill sharpen the stick in readiness. At the moment the new tables seem to be causing some people a few problems particularly speed issues, it's only a few days into the new tables and we have to expect a few bugs. The site imo just gets better and better - it's impossible to beta test the software completely - the real test is once we are all on it asking it do a million things at once - so please bear with it - and don't leave - it's a great place to hang out in!! As for putting people on hands, impossible to do with complete certainty of course. Instinct, remembering how someone plays particular hands, pot odds and bet sized may all help. I played at Luton on Sunday, called a raise with pocket fives, hit my set on the flop, check raised the raiser all in and bust his aces. He guessed I had a set before I turned his cards over, but he was pot committed and had to put the rest of his chips in. Conversely I hit a set of jacks on the flop in a tourney, did the check raise only to find I was facing a set of kings, he had flat called the kings under the gun, flat called my raise and hit his set on the flop. Never in a million years did I think I was behind! it's why we love/hate poker. Hope that helps - Tikay will be over soon I'm sure to correct this as he sees fit - I'm just passing on what I've read elsewhere here which I hope is correct! Tracey.

Well, my technical problems persist and it looks like I'll just play out my small bankroll and leave for stabler shores. Today the software behaved generally spongy on the 2p/4p table, I needed to press buttons often several times to get a response and it timed me out several times too. Once it timed me out on a BB, while having 'Auto Post Blind' ticked (as I always do!), real annoying because you then have to 'wait' the whole round AND pay an ante (of 2 p)! 5 minutes of waiting for the princely sum of 2 pence! Watching paint dry is more fun...

And no cards for me tonight either, not a single Ace in about twenty hands... Held my own, hovering around the 4 quid I'd brought. Finally, a heads up with my straight, and the river card made opponent a full house, all in on the river, £4.00 in the pot, off to 'JIMBOE'! A bad beat...

No, they either fix this thing or I'm OUT TA HERE! No fun playing on half-tilt all the time...

Hi Tikay, do you think its Ok for players to comment on a table after being knocked out..got caught up a little in the comments in the 12,000 open.. Never confessed to being a pro online player but have played a lot live where this is not an issue..not a complaint, just a question..

    Hey mate i'll answer -

Its fine i think for players to chat on the table after being knocked out / railing - but as we was at the final table - if you would have asked the railers to stop i'm sure they would have :). As long as nothing is said very offensive or affects a players decision its acceptable.

If something offended you sorry, it was me mostly talking back to the rail as its just what i do to keep busy. Well played tonight

I play quite hard on cash using position and never calling or cheaking on the 1st round of betting so its either raise min raise or fold then i will hard raise post  flop if cheak to me if raised before me i then judge my cards and the chances of winning based on my cards and flop if ok i re raise to ask the question if they come back over the top i will think again and decide on what to do now this sort of play works at 4p 8p and 5p 10p most of the time but at 10p 20p and 15p 30p no moves bar extreme aggresive work and i keep trying so i can improve my game but its costing a lot to learn how to play at this level also bluffing works at lower levels only way you can bluff higher is by all in very risky thing to do

as to my tourny play have final tabled quite a few times and finished 2nd a few and won a cpl of tournys too i would say out lets say 20 tournys must of cashed at least 8 times final table least 4 2nd twice won twice sit and gos ok but not as good as tourny and set a depoist limit to stop me loosing to much too would advice all to do that strange what you do on tilt and regret the next day

Hi Jason. Welcome to the Sky Poker Forum. 1) Cash games. Can you tell me a little more about what is going wrong at the higher level Cash Tables please, then I, or others, may be able to help. 2) Hand Histories for Tourneys. I'm not able to see or access these for other Players, & if I were, there'd be  to pay, as I play on this Site a lot, & I'd have "inside info". Not much help, am I? I'll try & answer the Cash Question if you feed back to me.

dont ever complain again after reading this

In one of the most famous poker confrontations of modern times, poker legend Johnny Moss battled with Nick "The Greek" Dandalos in a marathon game in 1949 at Binion's Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas. The game lasted five months (they took breaks to sleep) and consisted of every variation of poker there was. At the end, Moss reportedly bled the Greek for $4 million. The game was actually a precursor to the World Series of Poker (WSOP), which would officially begin in 1970. Johnny Moss went on to become the first player in history to win the WSOP three times (Stu Ungar is the only other player to have accomplished this feat).

i wish i had the patience and bankroll lol

A lot of players use Sharkscope.com to check their and other players stats, although having used it myself I find it a little unreliable.

You can view statistics for player's MTT and STT games on Sharkscope.
Cash game statistics are not available on that site.
If you wish, you can exclude yourself from having your statistics shown on that site.
Also, be aware that the figures are not 100% reliable (although generally a good indication) and that the Sharkscope Ts & Cs forbid posting other people's statistics on other sites.
You can, of course, get your own complete (and totally accurate) statistics for SkyPoker by using the "Full Account history" within the "My Account" option.

Hi Acebarry, I know TK is away and you cover his site while he is not available can you find out for me or do you know how to watch DYMs  your not in, or rail a friend that is in one.  The new format is missing the Watch Game button. Has Sky stopped people not in the game from watching or from posting abuse.  On the old system I railed TKO team challenge because I couldn't play.  Have asked hubby to check but he doesn't play on here so doesn't know.     Or, am I having girlie moment or what.???   Thanks  Annie x

Obviously I'm not Tikay or Acebarry but I'll answer this if that is OK.
You can view the tables by opening the tournament lobby.
If you choose the "Tables and Players" tab and click on the player's name, you will see a "Observe Table" button at the bottom right - just click on this.

However, I'm slightly miffed that you've associated me with the rabble that is "Team Tikay". :-)

These "pictures" won't appear until they have been approved by a forum moderator so that may take some time but this is what you should see when you click on the "Tables & Players" tab:

If you click on one of the player's names you get the following:

For a MTT, I find that once you have clicked on one player's name, you need to click on a table and then another player's name if you wish to view their table. I think that is just a "glitch" in the software.
Let me know if this doesn't help.

Hi Razorkev - it's the Total Player promotion/package/not sure what you call it.

The link is here but basically each mentor will pick players they think have shown great game at the Sky tables and then they go forward trying to win prizes including a live Sky game and entry into the the WSOP next year.

It's the X factor for poker players. The link with all the information is here:
