well today was a good day, not quite the 10+ buyins for the day but i'll take the 9. it was fairly steady all day, got my money in good and it held, there was the occasional beat but they seem easier to handle when your winning a lot of pots.

it got to around 8:30 this evening then i suffered one of my many disconnections/computer freeze that i encounter on a daily basis when i received a phone call. i had to answer an SOS from my pool team who were a body short, it got me out the house for a few hours, i won my singles game but lost my doubles game and the team drew 6-6. the recent spate of threads about everybodies disconnecting problems has me thinking im putting to much emphasis on my computers faults and maybe there is something wrong sky's end which is contributing to the problems i get daily. my computer is a heap of junk but maybe it can handle what im putting it thru.

i returned in time for the late happy hour and it was my worst session of the day, i only won £2 but it was enough to break the £200 barrier so happy days long may it continue

im hoping for more of the same tomorrow

    Starting to motor now, wp!

I did a similar nl4 session again yesterday and lost 2 buy ins I think. Wasn't as easy this time, I seemed to come up against a load of short stacks and didn't adapt very well. I probably played far too loose in position, and levelled myself into calling off some shoves 'due to their stack size'.

    Bet/folding > Bet/calling  :(

Cascading is a total nightmare when you have to reload often, wasn't such an issue the other day but the sooner auto reload comes in the better!

    Good luck today.

ive had sessions like that myself against the short stackers. its easy to level yourself into thinking they are light everytime but unfortunatley they are not.

auto top up would be a big help, as it is now i normaly wait til i drop about 30p on a table before topping up unless the rest of the table has less than i do then i wait a bit longer

today was abit of an odd day, i couldnt get settled into a session at all, i hardly played this afternoon, every time i seem to sit down to play the mrs started to nip ma head about something. it wasnt the best. got to this evening and even tho she was out i still couldnt get right into playing, this resulted in a lot of short sessions mainly because i couldnt get focused right. so for that reason ive gave up for the night.

poker wise there wasnt much to report, it was all fairly standard stuff but im sure there will be the odd thing i could have done different if i was to look back in greater detail. considering all this posting a profit of 3 buyins for the day im happy.

i really hope tomorrow i can regain some focus and have some good sessions, im still on track for my c4p target but im getting to the area where they dont seem to go up as quick, thats purely a mental thing.

some run good tomorrow please poker gods

    todays +/-: +£21.34

had a bit of an odd morning session where all i felt i was doing was topping up at the tables, i was a little suprised when i closed the tables down to find i was 3 buyins up. i was losing lots of smallish pots but the ones i won were quite meaty so that would explain a lot.

this evening was pretty much the ususal, i was fluctuating between where i started the session to a couple of buyins back. everytime i felt i was edging in front i lost a meaningful pot. it was like 1 step forward 1 step back. i had 2 bad beats within seconds of each other at 1 point and they raised a few swear words from me but i suprised myself how quickly i forgot about them. the beat itself doesnt tilt me much its when i have a succession in a quick space of time, i like to refer to it as the 15 minutes of doom.

overall today was another solid day, nothing spectacular tho but i'd take this result everyday if i could.

onwards and upwards again tomorrow, fingers crossed

    opening balance: £235.43
    closing balance: £275.82
    todays +/-: +£40.39
    c4p: 1580

i had a really good session this morning altho it didnt start great, i got kk allin pre v aj and lost followed by kk losing to jj who 4 flushed the board to take it on the river. things soon turned around and i dont remember losing much else after that, everything held which is always good.

this evening was back to what i call normal, win some lose some but have a steady increase. there was one hand in particular i played awful and fell to a rookie play, i could have gave myself a good slap for being stupid.

overall im happy, i got my 10 buyin day ive been looking for and i could maybe have carried on for another hour but the tables kept on breaking from12:30am there and i couldnt be bothered jumping about, earlyish night then and back to it in the morning,

i did read your diary and seen your result for yesterday, well done.

too much can be made about moving higher, i feel its better to crush a level rather than break even at the higher one and hope for a decent c4p payment to really show a profit. i will try nl10 again i just dont know when. i dont blame you for taking a step back if things werent going as you hoped at the £5's n £3's. its also a good confidence builder having a good winning session when you step back.

Gary makes an excellent point regarding people who say nl4 cant be beat, this diary should be required reading for these people.

thanks mate, i was a little worried at the start not about beating it but living up to some of the claims ive made in the past. i had debated doing this for a few months before eventually taking the plunge, i was worried it would instantly create some run bad but thankfully thats been avoided

Great to see you doing so well.
In answer to my own earlier question, and going from your C4P, I guess you had played just over 39000 hands this month, which puts you on about 11.2BB/100, if my maths is correct.
Keep it up,- you are officially crushing 4NL !

Ive been doing Tintins in comparrassion to my own when i was playing. One thing we dont factor in is happy hours being double points and without knowledge of tintins hand ratio outwith i rekon hes probably nearer 16-18BB/100.

Very impressive results none the less.
