Well you know my views, & I've always held them, & no point in me repeating them again. I'm reasonably bright, but I can't figure why some get so snarly & moany, & take it quite so seriously. Why EVER would any pursue a hobby which upset them so? I have a Forum interest elsewhere, we began 7 years ago with the motto "Poker with a Smile", & it was because I feel so strongly that recreational players - 99.9% of us - should enjoy our poker, that, along with 2 others, I helped found APAT, for which, I might add, we got ripped to shreds on every poker Forum in the UK. Now, not so much.....;) I've recently been approached with a view to getting involved in a new poker venture, which will be primarily about reinforcing the "Poker is Fun" message, & as long as it does not conflict commercially with my role here, I'll do that. I must say, I do find the constant moans of a few a bit tiresome, but you know how it is, life is divided into two broad types, the moaners & the doers, the glass half empty v the glass half full thing. Takes all types I guess. Thank you for your Post.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply, never mind just reading, my long posts.
Two things really....

Firstly, i sent a post last week to a programme when Carlo was on asking for Sky to film this bet he has of eating 50 poached eggs in 2 hours for £10k. the money goes to Great Ormond Street Hospital which is really generous but Carlo seems such a nice guy anyway. When it was brought up the producer suggested filming it in Cardiff that weekend. The look on his face was a picture, Tikay. It was a real 'tell' !! An all-in moment as Carlo was in shock. If he could not make it for serious, family reasons i hope this post isn't taken the wrong way. I'm sure he won't chicken out.

Secondly, a couple of posts sent in on other night were awarded with post of the night by your mate Richard and won a free entry into the sky sports bounty hunter on thursday. Its outside my normal range of T's for financial reasons. I've satellited into it twice through getting through two satellites each time. However, on both occasions i could not pull the trigger as i found a lot more 4 bets etc early on. I came away thinking i hadn't done justice to myself or really had fun playing, which should be the real intention. So Tikay, here's where you come in......
I'm going to put a sticky note mext to my monitor with a couple of inciteful but 'gee-up' comments. So give me something to write on it that will give me 'courage/smile/whatever/make it fun'.
Go on....my tournament is in your hands...ha!!

Hi Tikay, This is a long shot and whilst I doubt that you will be able to help personally, you may be able to either point me, or send this post to the correct person. Approx 2 months ago I changed my e-mail address, and obviously changed it in my SkyPoker settings. Since then I have not received any of the 'standard' e-mails, such as informing me when the TSP play off was, my monthly 'you have earned x amount of C4P this month', or any other e-mails from SkyPoker. I e-mailed customer services a few weeks back and they looked into it and said they'd done something and to leave it a couple weeks and if nothing changed then to get back in touch. Well nothing changed so I done that today, and was asked to go on live help to speak to someone. After a very quick chat, she told me that everything was fine your end and therefore there was nothing else she could do, that's it. So is that it, am I just supposed to put up with it from now on, and if I miss a league stars freeroll, or any other tourny because I was not informed then so be it. I'm also slightly annoyed that I am missing out on the promotional e-mails that Sky sometimes send out, and that I might be missing out on something through no fault of my own. Like I say, whilst I very much doubt you'll be able to help directly, but if you could point me in the direction of someone that might know a bit more about this kind of problem and deals with these kind of things I would greatly appreciate it, Many thanks, Chris

I have this same problem, when I live chattede to CC they said I had turned off email notifications, I checked my account and the box to exclude yourself from emails is NOT ticked, when I told them this they had no idea what was going on

Good afternoon Tony,
Was just wondering if any of the top pros use mind coaches/gurus with their game?
If so do you think that they would make a good guest on 865 to help people get into the right frame of mind to play and deal with any issues affecting their play?
i.e. Balancing family life/work life with poker , dealing with tilt issues , etc.
If this has already been done , my apologies as i've only been watching / playing for 4 months.

Noticed you said to comment on the 'points for cash widget' i think its really good and saves time, trouble is ive been priority +3 months, so it saves no time for me at all, maybe could have both displayed, or change the +3s to the correct one.

I think - just guessing - that the "problem" is that it would be quite a big piece of coding to run two parallel systems, & the % of Priority Players versus non-Priority players is hugely different, with only a minute % of players bering "Priority", if that makes sense.

Anyway, I'll whizz it upstairs, thanks for the feedback.

Should I say there will be prizes for the first person to do it, or the first 3 to do it or what? Obviously I won't mention what the prizes are until you've done some routing round in the cupboards

on another note, i actually won the primo not last sunday but sunday before, havent won a tournament for a long time, prob because i never play them... but it wasnt televised. i asked in the tv section on this forum but was given false information on time it was on. so i didnt get to watch my hour of glory. willl it ever be shown ? Keysa wants TV time !

i play sky poker a lot but i am thinking of changeing to other poker site that has tv covarage as i play a lot when it says its on tv but it never is you always show repeats and when you show repeats its all about sky poker team players

why why why do sky poker not do what they say
if they going to show poker show it dont talk all the time
show it the same nite not 3 days latter all i see is replays
and its all about sky poker team players even on cash you show how your own players do not normal public

I'm afraid it is not possible to show every table, Tourney, game, or player, there are not enough hours in the day, and not enough money to finance what is, after all, free for you to view.

Hi Tikay, I'm new to the forums. I really enjoy watching you on the online link to sky poker tv. Shame the shows are repeated so much though.... my question is non poker related. I always laugh when you talk about the Smiths, What music do you like? I can see you liking Frank Sinatra and big band music ;0)

I didn't know where else to say this and i thought this would be the best place.

Hi Tikay, i have a suggestion for the site in general.

Basically, i have trouble keeping track of my history/ profit&loss and things.

There is a competitor (i call them competitor but they are shoddy to be honest) that show the TOTAL P&L for a period (you can choose this yourself) and you can also choose to show it for the different sports/poker that you bet on.

Maybe this would be good for Sky as we could easily track our progress and if we could choose to single out P&L for sit n go's or MTT's or cash that would be awesome too.

Hi tikay,

I don't know if this may be a bit of a bad question? I recently posted in a thread relating to spornybol and someone closed the thread. Now I don't know, or cannot relate to the circumstances that caused the differences between sky poker and Martin. But the thread was closed. I for one have looked at the thread and there was nothing in my opinion that would cause sky to close the thread. The players on sky in my opinion, were entitled to express their views on the banning of Martin from the forum. Could you, or anyone else, please enlighten me as to why the thread was closed.

I suspect it was because, it was a 'dead-end' thread (as much as I liked SpornyBol). Thanks Paul for your take on this, I was just intrigued by the discussion closed thing. As I said in my original post, I do not have all the information as to the reasons for Spornys ban, but I have a general idea. I do not want to address that particular issue.

I still feel it may have been a bit premature, as it was still on the 1st page in general poker chat at the time. I did wonder if it was because someone had posted on behalf of Martin in the thread. Otherwise, why not just let it run its natural course, as is the case with the majority of threads.

Good afternoon Tikay,

I just wanted to send you a quick message about potential prizes for the DYM laddering challenge.

It's even harder this time because there are now 13 levels to get through due to the addition of the £82.50 game. Although it does mean if you lose the £110 game, you still walk away with a sizeable profit thanks to the £150 won in the previous round.

We've got 82 people involved at the moment and have already had some good runs. The best so far is Petethepla who has won the level 9 game and has yet to play the level 10 game (as far as we know).

Well just three, so I'll try & answer all three....

1) I have met Luke many times before & since. I think the way Luke analyses the play of poker hands is just about as good as it gets. I can think of few who have such a grasp of the game, & can articulate those thoughts as well as he can, which is why Ch 865 took a chance & had him on the Show. He is also a supremely good player. I should add that he was VERY keen to do the Ch 865 Show. However, I will never warm to people who so readily & frequently refer to other players as "fish", "donks", & other such monikers. Why would I? So many poker players do this, & I loathe it with a passion. A little more respect seems to be in order, in my opinion. Invariably, of course, players ONLY complain about "bad calls by fish" when they LOSE a hand to them. Go figure that, because I cant, & I never will. Luke also commentated & played on another poker show recently, one of the Matchroom gigs, & I was not impressed by his general demenour in that, either, as he appeared to be a tad "tired & distressed". For the sake of balance, I would add that we are all different, each to their own, & I'm not sure my own demeanour & personal standards would much impress Luke, either. I wish him well, but I hope that, as he matures, he will be a little more respectful & less rude to those of us poker players who are less gifted than him. As an analogy, Man City are an infinitely better team than QPR, but it would not behove them to say "QPR are useless". A little respect & decent manners costs nothing.

2) The Presenter & Analyst on the Jubilee Weekender Sky Roller? I'll try & find out for you. I was only allocated my June Shows yesterday (June 7th, 2th & 14th), but I am currently away on holiday, so cannot access the Show Roster until I get back home.

3) Ch 865 Analysts going to Vegas for the WSOP? To the best of my recollection, they include Redmond, Ryan, Julian, & myself. I will not be playing the WSOP Main Event, but the other three will. I'm not yet sure what plans for the WSOP Stu Rutter & Carlo have, but I imagine one or both will be there, & playing the Main Event, too.

Yeah I'll definitely be in the 'Coach Kendall', I registered yesterday as soon as I saw it, how could I pass up such a great opportunity. It's funny I was actually gonna suggest a competition virtually exactly the same as this, where the winner gets maybe a few hours coaching similar to how CoxylBoro (and many others) do, like they would watch them play 4 tables for an hour or two, then spend an hour with them talking them through any leaks etc. Seems Sky beat me to it!

I'm also in the Blackpool semi tonight for free, courtesy of an 865 competition last night, so maybe I can get to Blackpool for free, would be nice.

Top Guy

Played in the Paris last night (by the football ground on bloomfield Rd). A £45 dbl chance . Its only a small casino and only opened this year, but is pretty classy and got 66 runners. ( Got up to 32K after the brk but when someone calls your 5x raise on 400-800 with J 2 off against my AJ and hits it was downhill from there ).

Thats 3 Casinos in Blackpool now . 0 in Preston

(and they got the big super one knocked back a cpl of years ago )
