n1 dohhhhhh--11th out of 400 is better than 389 players did innit--great result m8---And I would leave that floppin nutter alone if I were you, he's fluppin lethal heads up mate---his sit n go experience is absolutely ideal training for heads up play, believe it or not, I'm a very good heads up player myself, and I know how much of a NUTTER you have to be---lol

    lol cheerz nutter 2 !

I had the beating of him yest, and he changed his game today, all credit to him. I had winning positions twice, but he hung in there far better than I did when I was on the back foot.

I don't think Im out of my depth playing him....But Im definitely more inexperienced.

For sure he played a different game than he did yest, so its upto me to adapt tomorrow, standing at 4-4, its all to play for. And the televised BH :)

Evening All, firstly wp to all the TP'rs left in. Hope the TP challenge hasnt stopped your income etc if you're a full timer!! you should try and get sky to pay you an hourly wage!!

Anyway, I dont really play Sky, Im A boss media pro (no sites mentioned), but I play E100 - E300 sngs heads up or 5 seater, Mtts and omaha. I tested out sky poker for a bit and as much as I loved the site I had to leave, I may return if they decide to kick back a bit of rake like the other sites (currently get 50%)

Anyway, Im a bit of a sicko and Ive been following TP quite closely, here is a scenario to brighten up you're evening. Now I am not saying I want this to happen, I just want you to imagine how funny this could be...

lets say, Glitterbabe (only used as an example) wins TP, brilliant, we're all pleased classic. Good luck in WSOP main event....so off you fly over to vegas, except wait....Ed is stopped at customs for his previous conviction (check wikipedia)...so Glitter has to trot off to wsop main event on her own....Ed is held for 3 days and is allowed into US 20 mins before start of his pupils first hand of WSOP main event....gets a cab straight down to the rio...runs into the amazon room, finds glitter as the first hand is dealt...and wow....AA first hand, there is a raise...to 120, re raise all in, glitter calls.....everyone else folds, the donk has 2 2, flop 2 2 9, pretty much drawing dead.....all that comotion for one hand....unlucky but I hear the blue man group show is good fun.

hope you all enjoyed my story,

    Sicko from UK.

what a joke, looks like my posts are behing witheld. My funny story has not been released onto the TP forum. Hmm...I guess its because of my posts of a tp role model (which were not bad by the way) so they have marked my posts ....this needs to go on 2+2 forum. Not allowed to ask honest questions on SKY poker forums. Esp if its about their presenters.

Hi all, checking in for the night, and i feel like my brain is gonna explode!

So the challenge from ed at the start of this phase was:

    1 final table

    3 top 10 finishes

    5 cashes.

So i went into tonight with 1 final table, 1 top ten and 1 cash from yesterday evening.

The evening started pretty much the same as last night, busting the tikay sleepstack to 3 outs sigh, and i wondered if there was more to come. Well done to gb who finalled this tourney, which just the same as last night, put huge pressure on me to perform in the other tournies.

I busted the main event around mid field when trying to rep a flush that got there, but turns out oppo had a pair and my timing was off!

Then things started to pick up, i wasnt pickin up many hands in the tournies i was playing, but kept afloat every orbit by using position.

I managed to cash in the velocity, which i came 3rd in last night, which was pleasing as i had around 3bb for about 30 mins, but managed to hold on for a deep run.

The £800 BH was a good tourny for me, got a good start early on and managed to keep just above chip average without ever putting my stack at risk. i think 11th place was in the money, which passed, and we were down to the final table bubble. I was 7 from 7 at this point. (more on this later)

The £1000 bounty hunter at 21.30 - i was always around chip average, 20th place was the cash, but when we got down to the last 40, iwas getting short and knew i couldnt just sit back and make the money, so i had to change gears, get a bit busy. THis worked well for me and i found a few good spots and hands to build my stack. The money bubble came and went and we got down to the final two tables. im getting short again and decide to step up the aggression levels again as people seemed to be wanting to fold to the final table. We then were down to 7. the final table bubble! i have 22k im 6 from 7 and the bb is 2k.

This is where i come back to the £800 BH. i was on the ft bubble of both at the same time, and lo and behold my internet crashes!!!

I quikly ring ed and tell him the good news and do the old unpluggin of the modem thingy and reboot the comp!

By the time im back on i have 1800 chips in the £800 BH when the blinds were 1k 2k. i put it all in first hand and get called by a better hand that holds.

The £1000 BH i have 16k so i still have a chance! I shove a few buttons and sb's and manage to get up 2 the 22-25k mark. two players bust and i find aq. i shove the button again and get looked up by k9 and i hold. i stay around 50k until were down to 3, and one oppo is short stacked and busts soon after. Heads up, i got the chip lead, until an 88822 board, no real action from either of us on the streets and i felt we were playing the board. Turns out we werent and he had slow played AA and that crippled me really and never came back and ended up coming second.

So it was a great night overall, very hard work, but most enjoyable!  the stats are:

    Tikay sleepie - 25 / 51

    Main event - 271 / 419

    £400 Bounty hunter 14 / 31

    £500 velocity - 14 / 124 - cashed £8

    £800 Bounty hunter 7 / 95 - cashed £30

    £1000 Bounty hunter - 2 / 166 - cashed £175

    So i have 2 final tables 3 top 10 and 4 cashes.

Well played to all the other tps and thanks to all the railers.

    See you all tomorrow, gl

    Dan

    Morning all

Wow what a night just finished railing Dan on a Final table £1k BH, Ill let him tell you the result wp sir..

Ok, So we started out tonight with the TK sleep stack and boy when I saw the field of 51 and the PLAYERS that were in it WOW, talk about the who's who of Skypoker.  I started off slowly as I usually do biding my time sussing out the players, which was easy as I knew most of them and what great players they are.  Managed to have my starting stack of 5k in place after the 1st hour, then decided to get busy.  Found myself in  some good positions and slowly built up to 10k, always trying to stay around chip average. When the final table arrived BOY you couldn't make it up , JAMES, PHIL12,BIGSHANN,TALLBOY,NIHIGHGUN,TP_GLITB,TIKAY1 and a couple of others who I forget sorry.  It was a cagey affair as you can imagine, my 1st target was to cash the most important thing for me.  The battles were immense and chips were flying all over the place.  In the end it was Me and LJAMESL HU for the title.  It was a tight affair for a while but LJAMESL was chipping away at me in his usual aggro style. He's probably the last player I wanted HU but was glad to get this far in this field.  He ended up beating me good and proper well played JAMES " cough cough cough "... 2nd place £102 nice one!!!

Main Event which was £3k Double stack went really well too, these tournaments really suit my game , patience patience, patience staying under the radar then pounce pounce pounce..419 runners 37th...

So overall tonight made some great moves and plays and got a couple of good results..

    19.00     TK Deepstack       £11     51   Runners     2nd £102.00
    19.30     £250 BH                 £11     33   Runners     30th
    20.00     Main Event            £11     419 Runners     39th £25.14
    20.30     £700 BH                 £11     108 Runners      93rd
    21.00     £700 G tee            £5.50  196 Runners      44th
    21.30     £1000 BH               £11      166 Runners     19th £15.80
    22.00     £5.50 Velocity      £5.50   206 Runners     36th
    Total outlay tonight £66.00, 3 cashes for a total £142.80  Profit £76.80

Ran really deep into 5/7 tournaments maybe with a little more luck at latter stages I can/will take one down..

I can honestly say this has been exhausting but loving every minute.  Roll on the weekend..

    Good luck tomorrow the TP6

For me, this has been the most enjoyable Phase of TP, & I've loved it.

Many thanks to everyone who played the tikay Sleepie - what a field! Same again next Wednesday?

    Hi all

Sorry I've not been on the forum in the last few days. Though I didn't publicly post my challenge, as you can probably gather from Sparce and Sharksbite's posts it was similar to Ed's in that is was very much focused on showing the ability to run well in MTTs.

    Solid performances all-round I'd say!

Naomi: I know you're not happy with how you ran, but i'll be with you on Skype tonight and we have a pretty good history in MTTs!
David: I'll be doing my best to watch you play 60 tables at once (oh yes, I had my spies watching - don't you worry!)

Here's to tonight, and securing that seat in Vegas for one of you!

    ^__^

I felt the pressure was on somewhat due to the fact some of the other Tps seemed to be playing a huge amount of Mtts. This is great. I just felt for me personally 5 Mtts was sufficient to be able to play my game to its optimum.
    Good stuff Naomi

Don't forget what I said in my challenge detail. Don't change your game because of what others are doing. Play the buy-in that suits your game, play the number of simultaneous tables that suits your game. In the earlier stages we forced you into volume, but now I want to see results without anyone being able to say "I don't normally  play that many tables" or "I don't normally play at that level" etc, so stick to where you know you can shine, and bring home the bacon. Unless you are a vegetarian, in which case I apologise. Perhaps you could bring home some Quorn instead.

See you later - and no, I won't be able to see your Snoopy pajamas through Skype ;)

    Hi,
I've been away from the site for a bit and when i checked a few threads, i found that the TP six are going to the Luton leg of the SPT, with, if i am reading it right, is entry into the competition.
    My question is WHY ?
The winner of this competition gets entry into a SPT as the first stage of a three way prize, unless this has changed?
I do know that one or two of the TPs have gone through the qualifing process and i'm fine with that but i totally disagree with this latest move,(no offence to the people being offered this by the way). All the other TPs had enough time and chances to try and qualify and either choose not or failed.

This has made me re-think my participation, in the SPT and any further participation on the site as a whole. The only reason i'm still playing the SPT is the amount of money i will from pre-booking tickets etc.
I am very sad that it has come to this but i have said, in the past that Sky Poker have set out the rules and in changing them(or looking like they are), would lose support and respect.

    regards col

Your entitled to your feelings on it i suppose but i'm lost as to why you don't want to play at the SPT because they will? How does their entry to SPT affect your day?

I wasn't even aware that Sky had changed the rules and paid the buy in for all 6 remaining Total Players but i would presume that their community popularity throughout the whole total player thing would be nothing more than a bonus for those attending as they get to meet the people their railing and eventually voting for.

Like i say you are entitled to an opinion but i think passing on your seat and refusing to play on Sky may be a little overkill for the fact that 6 prominent players on the site will be in attendance - Either on Merit or because Sky wants them there

If indeed sky has done as you've indicated and bought them all in then you would have to look at the business side of it. SPT is a promotional tour which will cost Sky in the short term. The point of it is to enhance the experience and brand of Sky poker for those players that participate (and if some media coverage through magazines etc can cover the event then there are obvious promotion benefits to gain new players). As a promotional event i don't think it's unreasonable for the company to want their 6 most televised players there do you?

Hi Col....the TP-ers are going to Luton because we need to film them playing and interview them for the next two episodes of Total Player.  It is the most cost efficient and appropriate place for Sky Poker to do this as we will have a TV crew in attendance, Sky Poker banners etc.  Fortunately the seats had been freed up from our celeb and journalist allocation.  I hope we don't lose you over something like this - but we have to do the best we can with our available resources.

Is it true if you enter the lottery one million times you will eventually win it?! Just Kidding David!

As for Sharky don't let the pressure get to you. I think you did last night and you had alot of early exits. Thats not your style! I know what its like having that pressure ;-). Without it, its alot easier as I proved last night when I won the sleepstack. I was able to play my own loose aggressive and confident game I pretty much anhiliated the field. One of the suggestions I proposed to Matt was if I did infact go through to let me play on my own account instead of the TP one. And see the difference in my play. Playing scared money makes a huge difference, and it should never be a factor involved in finding the Total Player.

    Hi Ace,
I will be playing because of the money i've put into it, but i have had to think about it.
I dont have a problem with any of the players and have pm'd one of them(before i knew it was the lot of them), to let him know personally  that it was not meant to be against him.

My point is/was that one of the elements of the the final prize is to be bought into a SPT leg(for the winner).
I do accept Des' reasons for doing this, but i still maintain that giving the entry to the TPs, that have not qualified for the event is wrong.
I am a bit of a stickler in these type of things.
People might look on this as overkill but i am a person who wears his heart on his sleeves and have/will speak up when i perseve things to be wrong, knowing that Des will not duck out of giving a reply.
I have meet Dan and Ben at other SPT events and like both(after speaking a fair bit to them).

    regards col
