Wow. What a weekend! (might be a long post as first time experience means Ill probably ramble lol)
First off it was a pleasure to meet everyone, and nice to put names to faces. Was a little shy at times but my first time in a casino and meeting people so understandable, but once the beer kicked it I was fine lol. I lost 35 on the tables over the whole weekend which considering I was expecting worse, I was relatively happy with.
Friday - +£48
Saturday - -£82
On arrival I thought I was in for a really bad time after the hotel farcical (thanks to James for vouching etc!) and then being in the wrong wetherspoons to the others drinking on my own for nearly an hour before being saved by Rose over facebook lol. The tournament that night I never got going, shared a table with Trev/Jonny/James for about 2 hours, then got moved over to table Sam and Tomgoodun and lasted 3 hands. Got nitrolled after jamming 12bb with KQ by a guy in v late position with AQ.
Cash went well that night too, I won a £94 pot vs Lmf after 3betting AA on button after limp limp raise in front and 2 called. Flop Q x 10, piled a lot in on there and 9 came on turn and I shipped, James tanked with KQo and called and it bricked nicely for me, slight cooler possibly. Then a few orbits later I opened 22 in cutoff and was called by an older chap on the button. Flop comes 996 which I continue for protection/information which is called. Bingo turn when the 2 comes out, I planned to barrel most turns but obviously this was perfect as betting for pure value and he raises, set him in and he showed 97 and another nice brick on the end. Felt a little bad for him but he won most back with QQ vs Lmf TT. We stayed on that cash table for nearly 4 hours until 4;30am, for a first night ever playing live it was an unforgettable experience.
Saturday, useless. Passed out on floor at 8am, got to the casino 10 minutes before MTT start and my hearing aid battery goes, so have to head back to hotel. Reg at 1;36 and exited before 2. My plan was to play a fair amount of hands and to just relax early on. Won a hand pre flop with AQss and then a hand v Shakin on the turn after flopping 2 pair so settled in fine, then it all went wrong. Lmf raised UTG and Sam snap called UTG+1. I call my SB with 64 of spades, expecting the BB to come along fairly often, I should probably fold but meh wanted to play lol. Flop came down 5s 10x As. Lmf continues about 60% pot, Sam calls. Not a fan of c/c draws often but I think raising would not get through very often. 7s comes on the turn giving me a flush and open ended straight flush draw. I was torn between checking or leading but decided to check, Lmf seemingly gave up and Sam bet very small, I then make a 2.5x raise and she peels. River is a brick. I value bet 8k into 14 and get snap min raised. Odds are good but its like never a bluff so I have to fold, So down to 18k. My exit - Alex raises 600 from early mid position, Donna behind calls. In cutoff with KK, I make it 1850, folds round and both call. Flop is K J T with 2 diamonds, I continue for 4500 expecting to get it in alot of the time against one of these players. Donna calls, which surprised me as I expect her to jam most of continuing range given i'm short after betting 4.5k. Turn brings the flush and she leads for 6k, I have 13k back. Donk lead is never a bluff and i'm not too sure she would get a 2 pair in on this turn either but I beat other sets and AdX hands where she could have AJ or AT which she might possibly want to get in. With no intention of folding I jam and she turns over Q9dd, no board pair on the river so I am first out which I was a bit disappointed about but hit by 2 big coolers - there isn't much you can do. Few people felt sorry for me but its poker eh :-)
Turbo that night went well, I was chip leader at first break. Bought a nice river when I check jammed nut flush draw over top set and got there. Received a lot of verbal abuse for it being a 'bad shove' and 'a kid that knew nothing' but these guys were limping hands, calling raises with raggy suited kings and hands like Q6, so I said 'f off' in my head, muted my hearing aid and just carried on. Tash then came to the table after the break and I got coolered by one of the better players at the table with JJ into AA, next hand I knocked Tash out with A7 into Q10, she flopped good but A on turn was nice. Busted in a flip with AK into 99, around 33rd so never mind. Well done to Trev who came to my table just before I busted and he ended up winning it. But poker was just a nice part of the weekend, meeting and drinking with the sky guys was the best part, and representing + raising money as part of Team Dagg.
Thanks everyone for a fantastic weekend.

Still on online break till I get moved out of home to Uni house which should happen sometime next week.
Matty very well played. I was so uncertain about betting and things as you all may have gathered as it was a very scary table I was on. Very unlucky with sam who cripled you first. You did very well to say you was shy. I hope you continue with your live games as you are a very good player. Unlike the donk..........:) Was fantastic to finally meet you with you.
Thanks Donna, you played it all fine really from what I saw anyway (which wasn't very long!). Lovely to finally meet you too, possibly see you at Blackpool

Have to admit I'm glad you wrote this, that was one of the hands I thought I messed up due to the haziness of Saturday morning!
Was rotten that you happened to run in to two coolers so early on, live poker is soooo rigged. You played well though, looked way more experienced at this than most.
Good to meet you and hope you run better in Blackpool.
