Congrats to Churchy on winning the 5er BH! WD Brian Some general thoughts about these games which can be taken with whatever amount of salt you wish... The £11 £300 GTD missed it's guarantee as it only had 26 runners. I dont think this is down to the popularity of the tourney but rather football on tonight etc and the site being quiet. The OH8 SNG's looked painfully slow when I looked in. Having said that there will be slow nights and much as I hate to admit it £250 GTD for the 11er and £150 GTD for the 5er might safeguard against this (thinking purely from Sky's perspective, it is fine with me if the guarantees are raised to £1million lol). One other point I have noticed... The games start at 15 minutes past the hour and late reg is 40 minutes. Late registration and the 5 minute break are scheduled to start at the same time. Most nights the break falls with about 20 seconds left on the clock, which is then stopped for the break so players get 5 minutes longer to register and there is usually a few more last minute entrants. Some nights though (tonight included) the timing works that late reg stops marginally before the break so there is 5 minutes+ less real time to register (this could have been the deciding factor tonight). If late registration could be increased by just 5 minutes it would probably make a significant difference in the long run.

And there, in a nutshell, is the problem.

If you only have x number of players in the O8 player pool, & you offer them a greater variety of O8 based things to play, all that happens is you spread the existing liquidity wider & the whole exercise is doomed to fail.

It ONLY works if we increase the O8 player base with new blood.
 
As it happens, I was MIA last night, which will have affected the DYM's, but in some ways that should have benefitted the O8 MTT's, as there'd be fewer O8 DYM's to play.

There are quite a few new or at least non dym players in the tourneys though. I guess there must be some crossover but I personally think these tourneys are the type of thing that will attract new players to the player pool. In the long run I would be surprised if they have anything other than a positive effect on the dyms, short term there could well be a little turbulence though.

Football on and tikay missing always slows down dyms but then no one else really regs every game in the lobby to try drum up games the way tikay can.

IMO a 300 GT is alittle optimistic for everyday, maybe its gets lowered, dont see that it matters much.

i suspect NLHM players will lose interest for a variety of reasons.

As TK said, there's only so many takers, the more you spread out the games. the fewer and poorer the ones that run will be.

A £22 BH prob be best introduced next UKOPS with a low GT.

once a player has played more than 10 .....IS IT THE TOP TEN SCORES THAT COUNT? .......... so we are in effect dropping the lowest score/s

In theory, if you play both tournies every day of the month, you would have played around about 60 games. The best ten?

Im thinking that any league prize would have to be decided after the first"proper" months play has concluded. Sky would have more idea of the

substainable traffic.

This is why I'm asking Chilling to clear everything up, what you've got to remember tho is not everyone will play 60 games, and if someone who, let's say just for arguments sake either ............     works shifts, goes on holiday, goes into hospital, or anything else that means they miss quite a few tourneys,

they still have a chance to qualify, so, theoretically they may still feel inclined / willing to play

I meant to ask, from the data you are planning on gathering would it be possible to see who has collected the most bounties in a single night each month (either from 1 of the nightly tourneys or a combo of both)? If it would be too difficult it is okay, I know you are doing loads already!

Hey Scouse, that's great!

It doesn't need to be 'by tournament' for the bounties, just a total for the night. The only thing that would really be needed is to know who currently has the highest total on any given night of the month so that everyone knows what the target to aim for is (just thinking about this in relationship to potential prizes).

Regarding the league generally and prizes.

As a result of the low number of players in these BHs, and the nature of the game, that is rapid elimination of players resulting in rapid table movement, the bug of not being able to see your cards after a table move is more prevalent.
In one tournament, I didn't get to see my cards for 3 hands in a row. It would be great if someone could work on this bug once and for all future sky tournaments. TY.

+2 to the lack of cards when changing tables.Sometimes even ,on the odd occasion, when you are seated at the same table.

Also on the odd occasion, after someones been busted, i end up with another players stack, 5k more earlier.Then after a few hands, reality kicks in, and i can see i still have a little one.
