Just checked out your MTT record, must say very impressive are you the female version of wacko90! As for cash yeah Lambert is 100% correct about regs. Good time to play are early in the morning before 11am, then in the evening after the 6pm happy hour. Table selection is key, its pretty boring/soul destroying sitting at a table with 3/4 regs who are value towning weak players to death. NL40 is an oasis though, there are much less regs (with the exception of one mouthy self opinionated one that we discussed the other day) one of the reasons being points are a lot less than nl50. It is a good level to build up a decent points stash each month though. In these times of reduced edge rakeback is very important,  10k points is around 8 buyins at nl40 not to be sniffed at. I am already up to 10k this month, hoping to hit in excess of 15k possibly 20k which is the equivalent of final tabling in a sky ME.

You already have 10k C4P's?? How often do you play and how many tables?

I play 4-6 tables normally at nl40/50 pretty much every day. Sometimes I mix it up with hu hyper sngs and the new short stack tables which are a great way of getting quick points but its a donk fest.

On a day when i have the energy to play i can do 8-10 hours. 6 tabling cash would give me 100 points per hour or 150 during happy hour (note my comments about regs tho). Im off work due to illness/holiday this month so have plenty of time. If you do 5 hours a day every day you can easily get 12-15k points a month.

So ive told you how to get a decent points stash will you teach me how to play mtts ;). Its the discipline that I need to work at more than any other.

I would say if you are a break even cash player, it is possible if you put the hours in (im talking serious hours) to get £1.5/2k rakeback a month. Of course if you are a winning cash player its happy days with rakeback.

i find on cash tables best time to play are weekends early hours in the morning play solid u can win a fair bit against the drunks :)

TBH any time to play cash is ok as both type of players are beatable. Obv your win rate will be higher in peak times when the fish are playing but sitting at a table with 3/4 bad regs who will only 3 bet QQ,KK,AA and AK if there feeling frisky and will only get in pre with AA and KK is also massively +EV. Just adjust your game to how the table is playing.

Poker for most people is about optimizing returns. I'll take a table of non regs any day of the week, when you are stepping up you want to play the best players and compete but thats not the be all and end all.

Obv I would rather play a bunch of fish, however my point was you can beat both types of players with ease if you simply adjust to how the table is playing.

    What Curt says is correct.

A lot of people see the popular/well known names at a table and get worried/want to avoid them but there are a lot of cases where these players are just as beatable as any other, its just that you have to spend a little bit more time/effort in finding out how you are going to do that.

For instance there are a lot of players who you literally aren't gonna get stacks off unless you flop top set v middle set (cos they would never put their money in with a hand as weak as bottom set obv lol), however you will be able to take lots of money in 3-10bb chunks by either 3b them and taking it down pre or when they do peel they just check/fold when they don't hit a set.

But yeah as a general rule weekends/late nights are the best time to play.

Just online, I have done a few live ones but nothing big as of yet. Hoping to qualify for vegas next year as my BF is going for the next one and will be good to last longer than him :)

He is more of a live player and I prefer online, think it would annoy him if I followed him through casino's on a daily basis, and sod speaking to him all day long lol

Hey everyone, I had a short break as could feel myself getting angry with the game and playing poor. Back now to hopefully run deep in some big tourneys again, starting from oday. Wish me luck.... gl all

Absolutely ran a cash table aearlier for a few hours.
Really enjoying poker again now after going through a slightly odd time at the tables, where I was getting supper tilted.
I have purchased David "Devilfish" Ulliotts book, absolutely brilliant read, showing how he lost so much to gain far more is inspirational. Not really much to do with poker in the book, but I find it calms me lol.

So anyway sat at an nl20 table for around 4 hours earlier on, played really well. Not once did I get it all in behind, I made some big folds. One fold was pretty painful to make but I donked around on the turn and made my own problems. I will post it below!

I only lost over £5 in a hand once but won so often. I managed to get paid off lightly so many times, so was extremely happy with my play and left the table with a stack over £175 which is a massive profit.
My mentality completely changed today, I was not thinking how can I win every hand, I was playing more along the lines of "How can I lose the min here" Kinda thing. It worked and I felt I played a strong consistent game.

Hopefully this is the start of things to come!

I just looked at your sng results, and they aren't great. Any reason why your results aren't great at them, in comparison to mtt's which you seem to crush..

Hi guys for those that are interested I am going start back up again on SKY I went through a period of playing on different sites again but always end up back on here! I haven't had the greatest of times at the tables on different sites so hoping to come back home and start playing well again.

I have decided to set myself a challenge like others on here and deposit a small amount and grind small MTT'S and sats. Reason being as I had a few big wins and lost all BR management and bought into everything and anything which caused me to become very bored of the game and completely lose my respect for money.

I haven't decided how much I will deposit yet but likely be around the £50 mark and will take it from there!

If anyone is interested in doing this with me or is doing something similar already let me know

    Kalie

Thanks guys this site is free rolls galore at the moment quite good value as well as free rolls go.

I am sure I will start a few debates in the clinic in due course borinloner! ;)

Quick update I decided to play a load of tourneys yesterday at all different levels as I completely disregarded what I said in a prev post.
Ok I have left it so I have exactly £50 available! My aim is to do what GARYQQQ has done and grind it up whilst staying completely focused on BR management!!!

I will play sats and small tournaments and maybe the odd sng if it shows value (maybe DYM's) I will not play cash at any level apart from NL4 which will be a big test for me.

I have also got a cashing challenge with Larson which will be documented in his diary if anyone is interested!

Wish me luck guys I will keep you informed!

GELDY - Yeah I just went to another site only because they done specific al female fields so I found good value in them as an MTT player. But they structure all female tourneys like turbos (although they don't call them turbos) so value was harder to take advantage of as it become a shovefest at level 3 lol!

I played the Primo last night and finished mid 30's I sat in which was nice but gutting as I went out with 2 very poorly played hands on my behalf.

Tomo unlucky on not getting in, I managed to sneak in at the end of the day so got in both but didn't run well in the mini at all!
I am sure I will see more of you if you enjoy the sats

    Hey Kalie,

Hitman mentioned you were part of The Hitsquad before you went away from Sky for a bit. Assuming you're still cool with being in the team, then you can let them know on the DTD thread that you're actually in THS and not independent :)

Lovely stormy day down here! Hope everyone has enjoyed a slightly cooler day as I certainly have, I definitely prefer the rain to the sun.

I have been taking advantage of all these sats on the site and even some freerolls recently, absolutely excellent value in some, also great structures well done SKY!

I had a pretty poor comeback in the DTD but to be honest I have never really run well in the 3 tournaments. I will try to play them every week so I get a good chance of winning the prizes on offer.

Enjoying playing back on SKY I definitely prefer the 6 max tables, although I think the forum/clinic is a lot weaker in numbers than it used to be which is a shame.

Shout out to Lambert180 absolutely awesome to grind from nl4 to where he is now, I am sure most people have expressed their well dones by now but I have been away so WELL DONE :)! I think it's excellent and the diary you have made is great for new starters to read to draw inspiration from!

I'm going to play the turbos tonight so hopefully see a few of you there, gl at the felt!!
