looking more like 20 MTT's I may well get close to 30 depending on how bad I run
  • edited August 2013
Ok so yesterday went pretty poorly but I played some MTT's well.

    I played 21 MTT's including 5 sats

I managed 5 cashes and 3 seats, and 3 FT's with one win.

Unfortunately I missed out on some extreme profit in the £55 BH as I got in for £2 but failed to even get 1 bounty.

I then went on to multi table 6 nl20 tables for 2-3 hours last night and made a small profit, this is something I will be pursuing  further over the next few weeks as I feel I am good enough to beat <NL20 but need to set out some sort of structure with BR's and all that jazz.

hey kalie we were on a few of the same cash tables last night and from what I seen you were doing well and we ended up playing heads up a few times due to table breaking which can be quite annoying at times especially if you are playing a good player waiting for table to fill back up and does not help I suck at hu.We did have some good battles last night I personally enjoy the game more makes it more interesting when playing players like yourself not scared to mix it up much better than being surrounded by nits lol.

But yeah if you stick at the cash I agree with you I think you would easily beat 20nl just don`t sit at all my tables I never starting winning last night till you left lol.

    gl at the tables.

Lol you 3 bet all my raises for about 30 mins it was a good laugh. I will try and avoid big regs when possible but don't know all of them. I found the mastercash tables massively profitable over any level as players play so loose on them.

Not being funny but you must run like god if you think a poor day is getting, 5 cashes, 3 FTs and 1 win from 21 games. The best in the world are only gonna get in the money like 20% of the time and can't always convert them to FTs/wins.

GL with the cash, seems like I might be seeing you on my table more often.

Yes I meant I played pretty poorly and I cashed in the small MTT's and not in any of the 4 big ones I played.

Ok so 1st cash session under my belt.

3 hours across nl10 up to nl30 6 tables. I played pretty solid weird playing with the same players for so long but you start getting to know others games which is fun.

I ran a profit of £90.74 didn't expect so high but got some good hands along the way and managed to get max value out of a lot my big hands.

I haven't set aside a BR for cash so was just playing but I am going to go with £440 which coincides with the 22 buy ins at nl20 I will drop a level if I drop to 18 buy ins. I am pretty happy I can abide by them rules and I will move up once I reach 22 BI's of the level above. I am going to run cash for a month and see how I get wish me luck!

Also I am just about to put a hand in the clinic if you get a chance have a look!

Set out the night to just play 3 tournaments (The dtd) However I got the taste for it and bought directly into the main and mini.

I took some horrendous beats throughout the night, I mean some serious 2 and 3 outer jobbies! I managed to cash in 1 DTD but just had nothing to offer in the late stages. The standard of them tournaments in comparison to the buy in is ridiculous. 1 minute you have an unknown the next your sitting next to a shark and then next to that it's Hitman ;)! I do enjoy them and the chat banter was brilliant on a table I shared with Larson, wolves and someone else (sorry I cannot remember your alia) Then wynne joined later on! Great laugh!

I donked out the mini about mid way in a race I think but not 100% sure. But I managed to FT the ME, however I completely screwed up pocket aces 3 way and crashed out where I could easily fold and ladder to 2nd. :(

Really disappointed with how I played the FT even though I was coolered but oh well.

Highlight of the night was: Dealt AA I 3 bet big pre get a caller this is in ME BH near bubble both chippies. Flop comes AA 8 guess what he has????? Yes you guessed it pocket 8's he bet my quads for me!

    Good night all

Hey Kalie was a fun table lol

You ebberdon and a couple of others, some table haha

Gl with Cash, played against you last week at cash, you will easily beat the lower levels, no idea about 30nl and above, but pretty sure you will be better than the majority there.

    Good luck

Oh and also I have now spun that £50 I deposited a couple of weeks back into exactly £1,054,71!! Shame I didn't set myself a £1000 target but just wanted to spin it up! I'm done now for a while with multi tabling MTT's I will play mains and the DTD but not much else.

Time to crack on and work on my cash game!

Really Amazing! Well done in such a short period of time as well.

Undoubtedly one of the best MTT players on sky.

    Good luck with beating cash.

I remember a time when I used to run this well *sigh*.

But in all seriousness... that is mighty impressive.   Very well done.  You'l have to start giving me lessons. :

EDIT - just checked your sharkscope... your average ROI over 1303 scheduled games is 99.5%.  That makes me a little sick. lol.  So about those lessons....

It's an absurd flop, but a really poor run out for 88. When you c/c 2 streets, after 3/b pre, then lead shove the river, our house doesn't really beat much. AA, AK, KK and A10 are all very much within our range. Would we really c/c down with QQ/JJ to then jam the river? Only legit hand 88 beats is AQ, maybe AJ, but again would be jamming the river with these?

I digress. I really hope we don't have to share a table tonight! Outrageous spin up in just a few weeks. I'd say you're probably just about suitably rolled for the forum cash games now ;)

Mighty impressive.  Youve got one of those little shark symbols saying you are a 'medium shark' - lucky you!

    Hi Kalie

Saw you on all sorts of cash levels last night, have you decided which level you wanted to play at now? Will be interesting to see how your cash progresses im sure you can run some mtts at the same time as with those stats it seems as though you are crushing!

    Hey guys!

Ok I have re-evaluated my cash BR and BI level.

    I am going for a £660 BR NL30 downwards, so no NL40 -100 anymore :(!!

I have chosen this one as dontellmum isn't at these tables, lol! No seriously I have chosen this as I am happy to lose this amount but also happy to play and win at this level aswell as I don't get excited grinding NL10 for 3 hours for £10. So I lose interest.

I am playing the old 22 BI rule if I drop to £440 I drop a level and so on. Hopefully this won't happen, I am going to start 2-4 tabling I can comfortably play 12-15 Mtts's but cash is a new dimension to me so I will start small and hope to move up in tables over time. I think I am at my best on cash at 5 but I want to take a lot of notes so will play less for now.

I have also set aside an MTT/sat bankroll at just £275. Reason being as I will be investing so much time into cash I will only play ME's if I sat in so a min cash becomes very profitable and worth the time input. (As I will only play one area at a time)

My aim is to also become a priority member so I will be investing a considerable amount of time into this!

    Wish me luck!

    Cash BR £660
    MTT BR £275
    C4p's : 2571

    Hey Kalie,

Becoming a priority Member, seen people talk about it, some one said the only "benefit" is a couple of freerolls.

Is there any other benefit 2 it?

    Hi Kalie,

peeps say table selection is key at cash. as you are new with your grind it might be worth trying to avoid tables with too many regs on. not that you weren't holding your own, just that it will be easier if there is at least one non-shark at the table. playing on a table with all of evilpingu, IDCU, acegooner, and rancid present is just going to be hard work.

how to know who are the regs. fortunately there have been some promotions that have required massive grinds, so the leaderboards will at least give you an idea of their grindability. of course they are many other strong regs who have lives outside poker and therefore won't appear here. you'll just have to work out who they are the hard way.
