Why the Big Paws?

I recently came 2nd in one of the qualifiers (19 runners) so had virtually a buy in . Wondering whether to register & go. At the time approx 170 were registered out of poss. 200 (about 10days ago) now only 139-40. R folks cryin' off or needin' money 4 other games ? Anyone any ideas ?
